A little trail riding\, but only as necessary to go to meadows and hills with trees. I’ve been there in the summer\, and generally know the area\, but haven’t sledded there\, so please plan to explore; other people sled there\, and I know where to go from them\, and it looked great for nearly infinite sledding in the summer! Recommend downloading the free COTREX app if you don’t have another winter trails app that shows the Flat Tops trails N of New Castle. \nLocation:  Flat Tops – Bufford Newcastle Winter Parking Lot. See View Venue Website link below for map/directions. \n\nParking lot may or may not be plowed\, but it usually is or is well packed down.\n\nLodging/Food/Gas: The closest town is New Castle\, CO\, 16 miles (about 30-35 minutes) from the parking lot. The Ore House Inn and Wingate by Wyndham are both in New Castle\, as are some restaurants and gas stations. All are a roughly 30 minute drive from Moose Cafe. See View Venue Website below for directions to Moose Cafe. DESCRIPTION:The 23nd Annual Snowmobile for Life Poker Run is Saturday 2/15/2025 at 9 AM at Grand Lake. \nThe Mile Hi Snowmobile Club of Denver and the Trail Blazers Snowmobile Club of Grand Lake host the Snowmobile for Life Poker Run to raise funds for Flight for Life Colorado. \nFlight for Life Colorado is an Air Ambulance service based in Denver out of St. Anthony’s Hospital.  It started in 1972 and was the first Air Ambulance service in the country.  It was inspired by helicopter pilots returning to Colorado from the Vietnam War and 2022 is the 50th Anniversary for Flight for Life Colorado \nAbout Flight for Life Colorado: https://www.centura.org/our-ecosystem/flight-for-life
