SUMMARY:Canceled! Member Ride - Corona
DESCRIPTION:Canceled!\n  \nSkill Level: Intermediate or Advanced. \nRide Description: We’ll ride up the groomed FS 149 for a few miles to the site of the Ranch Creek Wye on the “Hill Route” of the Moffat Road\, then we’ll explore all of the single track trails\, treed hills\, and meadows up near the Riflenotch Trestle and beyond. If conditions permit\, we’ll go to the top of Rollins Pass where the townsite of Corona once was\, to Pumphouse Lake and Corona Lake\, and to several other places. Recommend downloading the free COTREX app if you don’t have another winter trails app that shows the Corona riding area. \nLocation: Lakota Snowmobile Parking Lot (many people call this the Corona Lot). Click the map below for map/directions. (Be sure to turn right onto Lakota Trail off of Rt. 40; summer directions won’t work.) \n\nParking area may or may not be plowed\, but it usually is or is well packed down.\nDon’t park in the turnaround\, but rather turn around there\, head back down the road only as far as necessary to find a spot\, and park on the right side.\n\nBreakfast: None planned (most places in Winter Park and Fraser don’t open until 8:00a). \nPre-Ride Gear Check & Meeting: 8:15a\, near Dean’s burgundy Jeep Grand Cherokee w/gray trailer. (Be unloaded\, geared up\, and ready to ride at this time.) \nRide Start Time: 8:30a. \nRide End Time: 3:30p\, or earlier if group wants. \nMust Haves: Mntn sled\, Beacon w/good batts\, Probe\, Shovel\, Charged cell phone\, FRS or GMRS radio set to channel 18\, privacy code 21. \nLunch Plan: Carry whatever you need to stay fueled and hydrated for the day; we won’t return to the parking lot until the end of our ride.

SUMMARY:2027 Flight for Life Poker Run
DESCRIPTION:The 25th Annual Snowmobile for Life Poker Run is Saturday\, 2/27/2027\, at 9 AM in Grand Lake. \nThe Mile Hi Snowmobile Club of Denver and the Trail Blazers Snowmobile Club of Grand Lake host the Snowmobile for Life Poker Run to raise funds for Flight for Life Colorado. \nFlight for Life Colorado (click link) is an Air Ambulance service based in Denver out of St. Anthony’s Hospital.  It started in 1972 and was the first Air Ambulance service in the country.  It was inspired by helicopter pilots returning to Colorado from the Vietnam War and 2026 is the 54th Anniversary for Flight for Life Colorado. \nAbout Flight for Life Colorado:  About \nFlight for Life History: History \nThe Mile Hi and Trail Blazers Snowmobile Clubs support and fund raise for Flight for Life Colorado for many reasons.  Three important reasons to support Flight for Life are: \n\nFlight for Life might be your quickest if not your only way out when you are hurt in the mountains;\nFlight for Life provides search and rescue assistance;\nFlight for Life never questions a patient’s ability to pay and uses donations to offset operation costs.\n\nVolunteers and silent auction donation items are still needed for the Snowmobile for Life Poker Run. \nSilent auction items can be snowmobile related but do not need to be snowmobile related.  Examples of silent auction items are snowmobile gear\, clothing\, lodging\, food\, art\, household items\, repair work\, gift cards or anything else you think might be of value. \nProceeds from the Poker Run and silent auction are donated to Flight for Life.  In prior years\, over $10\,000 dollars have been raised and donated to Flight for Life Colorado! \nTo ride\, donate\, sponsor or volunteer with the Snowmobile for Life Poker Run\, please contact the club with the Contact Form\, or contact Steve directly per his contact info. below. \nSee you in Grand Lake\, \nThe Mile Hi Snowmobile Club
