Get your avalanche knowledge in shape before the snow flies. Avalanche Savvy, the instructor team led by club member Lee Blazek, is hosting a free Avalanche Awareness Night at Green Mountain Beer Company in Lakewood.
The 2.5–3 hour presentation covers the basics every rider should know: how snowpack works, how to recognize avalanche terrain, what safety gear to carry, and how to make better decisions in the backcountry. It’s built for snowmobilers, backcountry skiers and snowboarders. No experience is needed.
Food, drinks and vendors start at 5 PM, and the presentation begins at 6. Parking is free, and all ages are welcome.
Free, but please RSVP on Eventbrite: Reserve your spot
